Summer to Fall Outfit Ideas
This week I'm heading across the country to San Francisco! JT and I are staying with a friend, so we decided why not make the most of it and go for 12 days! We also have plans to visit Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur and Napa and when I tell you I'm stoked just know that's an understatement. I have always wanted to do a trip like this and I've heard this is the best time of year to visit. From what I've learned, Northern California can be chilly during the summer, but September and October are known to be some of the warmest months with temps in the 70's. I've also heard you should pack layers because the temps can vary in different areas and I'm sure I'll be needing them more often than not because anything under 70 degrees is cold for me lol. What can I say, I'm a true Floridian now.
Anyways, here are some summer to fall outfit ideas for when the weather can't make up its mind. You can shop all of these looks by clicking on each photo or the bold text below.
This blazer is such a fun fall staple. It can be dressed up with booties/heels or dressed down with sneakers and my favorite square neck crop top. I also think it would look amazing paired with denim shorts and a little heeled sandal!
This dress is super flattering and another piece you can dress up or down! I think it would look so cute with a denim jacket over it too!
This is one of my favorite looks that I'm packing for our trip. The skirt is from Amazon and while I didn't love it when I first styled it with a crop top, I absolutely love it paired with a sweater. The sweater is from Vici Collection and unfortunately it's no longer available on their site, but I linked some similar ones here along with everything else I paired with it. Booties included!
Ok this is another favorite look. The material and style of this dress is super flattering + vertatile. The ties on each side allow you to adjust the length and it's another great piece to dress up or down like I did with the denim jacket + sneakers.
You can never go wrong with a stylish black top. From what I've heard, San Francisco is a casual city, so I love that this top is casual, but it also has some details that add a little flair to the look. I also ordered this jacket that I plan to wear with this outfit.
This look gives off more of a Florida vibe with the white pants and teal shirt, but I think we've moved past the whole "No white after Labor Day" thing. This outfit will definitely be coming to California with me.
I snagged this flannel from JT's closet (it's a mens large) and I'm forcing him to share it with me while were in SF lol. He found it at an H&M store, but unfortunately I cannot find the link on their website. I did find a similar flannel from Express and another similar one from ASOS. The romper/playsuit is from Princess Polly, the shoes are from Red Dress Boutique and the hat is Steve Madden from Bealls.
As always, thank you for reading! xo.
