8 Ways to Relieve Stress In Quarantine



Turn off the news.

It's important to stay informed with what is going on in the world at the moment, but listening to the news all day is not good for anyones mental health. Start a new show on Netflix. A few of my favorites are Working Moms, Grey's Anatomy, Bloodline, Prison Break, Shameless, Desperate Housewives, and Dead to Me.


Go for a walk.

Get outside! It's a beautiful time of year, it sucks we cant spend more time outside, but walks are allowed! (Just keep your distance obviously.) Appreciate the little things like the spring blooms and the scents!

Laugh.

I suggest watching @rickeythompson + @heatherkmcmahan videos or listen to the Absolutely Not Podcast. You’re guaranteed a good laugh.


Rearrange a room.

Idk why but this always makes me happy. It's like creating a whole new space in your home. My mom used to rearrange my room whenever I was at camp or on vacation with a friend. I'll never forget the feeling of excitement when I would come home and discover it.


Exercise.

Moving your body is always a mood booster. My fitness highlight on Instagram has some great at home workouts or you can download the SWEAT app that I have been using lately. I love it!


Meditate.

I love the @headspace app.


Have a drink.

I'm not encouraging you to get trashed every time you feel stressed, but having a glass of wine or a cocktail at the end of the day is a great way to wind down. My Hot Honey Margarita recipe is pretty good just sayinnnn'.
