Seaplane to Dry Tortugas National Park

HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend taking a sea plane to Dry Tortugas National Park. It was one of the most insane experiences of my life! Seriously, a bucket list adventure. We booked through Seaplane Adventures Key West and I cannot recommend them enough! Our pilot was awesome and we learned so much on our 45 minute flight. The coolest part was everyone got a window seat and we flew so low that we were able to see tons of sea turtles, which is how Spanish Explorer Ponce De Leon came up with the name for the island. If you're lucky you can see sharks, stingrays, and other marine life while flying over the shallow waters.

We left Key West Airport around 2:00pm and were back by 6pm. Once we arrived at the island we had 2.5 hours to explore. We walked through Fort Jefferson then spent the remainder of our time snorkeling and enjoying drinks on the beach. Seaplane Adventures also offers full day trips (8 hours) and half day trips in the morning as well (4 hours). They provide snorkel gear and a cooler with water and soft drinks! They do not provide alcohol, but they allow you to bring your own.

If you made it this far, thanks for stopping by the blog. I hope you enjoyed all of the pictures from our trip to the Dry Tortugas and if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out here or on Instagram at @BrunchAndTheBeach!
